Our signature non-Italian blend derives it’s plummy flavors from both the Sangiovese and the Petite Sirah, whereas the Merlot contributes hints of berry and currant. The softness of the Merlot is a perfect blend with the spicy, tannic Petite Sirah and the fresh, fruity flavors of a young Sangiovese. This wine is anything but a delicate princess.

Teroldego 2013
Lodi

$36

 Wine Club $28.80

Teroldego grapes produce deeply pigmented red wines with earthy notes on the aroma.  With it’s spicy red fruits and hints of tar, pine, and almond, some California Authorities compare Teroldego to Zinfandel, but few tasters would confuse the two in blind tastings.  This wine exhibits an intensely fruity characteristic yet is soft-styled and can age well easily for 10 years or more, and provides an Italian flair as an alternative to Cabs.  Pairs well with Ribeye steak, and any barbequed beef.

Production:  96 cases

Nebbiolo 2011
Santa Barbara County

$36

 Wine Club $28.80

As a wine high in tannins, Nebbiolo requires more aging and bigger oak to help soften those tannins.   This is why one can “make Nebbiolo for their daughter’s wedding”, as the saying goes.  As a result, we produce a Nebbiolo that is far more reminiscent of the more  expensive Barolo wines from Italy.   The nose exhibits a wide range of complex and exotic aromas, from cherry to currant to coffee to clove.  This wine will be big on the Palate yet provide the expected rich, velvety finish.

Tempranillo delivers tons of cherry and tomato-sauce flavors followed by chunky tannin. It is technically a medium-bodied wine with red fruit characteristics, and can have reminiscent flavors similar to Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.

However, the more mature Dolcetto, being soft on tannins and acidity, allows the big flavors of the Tempranillo to still be pronounced but produces a wine that become soft on the Palate.

Tre Ragazzi NV
California

Three different wines are combined to produce our signature Italian varietal blend.  Each of the three wines takes it’s turn in releasing their best features, and the combination of the three results in a very smooth wine with a delicate finish, yet is quite complex.  The plummy character comes from the Barbera, the vanilla notes from the Sangiovese, and the rich, chewy, deep and long-lasting flavors come from the Nebbiolo.
